Vision and Purpose

Life is a journey. And every journey must have a destination. If you have no destination, then you end up going in a continual circle, never ending up anywhere because you have no destination.

Your destination is your vision; this is where you have decided to end up. It is where you are going, but it is not your purpose. Your purpose is the reason you are going.

Example:  My destination is to end up as an RN in a prenatal ICU unit; my vision. My purpose is to care for and improve the life of prenatal infants.

I establish goals to get me to my destination, so that I can fulfill my purpose.
